Our newest Technical Training Partner (TTP), Clarke Product Renovation (CPR), representatives Joe Clarke and Joe Clarke, Jr. recently spent 2 days at Mind’s Eye Graphics, Inc. facility training our staff on the proper use of Smilin’ Jack, CPR’s newest Pressure Compensating Squeegee Blade technology.

Smilin’ Jack has a proprietary pressure curve engraved on his face. The name emanates for the “smile-like” curve cut into SJ’s face to create a pressure compensation curve in his profile. The curve allows SJ to adapt to the tension differential of the screen mesh. Field testing in T-shirt and graphics shops for the past two months has resulted in the following metrics: SJ prints at a minimum of 25% to a maximum of 200% faster than Old Fashioned (OF) blades. This speed occurs at less pressure; SJ typically runs at 20% to 70% lower PSI. We have performance standards on white plastisol for example and under the above conditions we tend to be 15% to 50% brighter on cotton and blended tees.

The Technical Training Partner Relationship between Mind’s Eye and established industry guru Joe Clarkes', CPR will allow both companies to stay on the leading edge of screen print technology development in this WIN-WIN-WIN project.

CPR will have the opportunity to utilize Mind’s Eye Graphics staff and resources to do beta testing and end user product training on Smilin’ Jack and it’s many other revolutionary screen print process solutions.
