Are There Restrictions Regarding The Size Of My Design? Size limitations are determined by what your design will be embroidered on. A standard left chest design is 3 ½” wide by 2“ high. A standard full back design is 12” wide by 12” high. The standard size for embroidery on a hat is 2 ¼” high by 4 ½” wide. As mentioned above, letters should not be smaller than 5/16” high. NOTE: A left chest or hat design cannot be scaled to a large full front or full back design without additional embroidery digitizing.
What Is Embroidery Digitizing? Digitizing is the process of converting the customer’s artwork or digital design into stitches that are stored in a computer file read by the embroidery machine’s computer.
Can I Request An Estimate Before Embroidery Digitizing? Yes, although digitizing fees are based upon the complexity of the design. To give the most accurate estimate, we may need to review your artwork. Our estimates are usually within $10 - $15 of your final expenses.
What Formats Of Artwork Do You Accept For Embroidery? As with any digital process, the better the image the better the final product. We will accept your image in the following formats: CorelDraw® (.cdr) up to Version 12; Adobe Illustrator® (.ai) up to Version 10; Encapsulated Post Script (.eps); and Adobe Photoshop® Document (.psd) at 100% of final print size with a resolution of at least 300 dpi. If you have any questions, please call us at 888-942-9518.
Can You Edit My Design? Using editing software we are able to remove undesirable elements from existing designs. Text and color can also be altered when using preset embroidery fonts. We are also equipped to merge previously created designs with lettering to create a tailored logo for you. Corresponding fees may apply and elaborate designs will need to be custom priced for significant editing.
Can You Embroider Typeset Text on My Garments? Using lettering software we are able to create a variety of styles, size, height, and density with our preset embroidery fonts. Some size limitations apply, as tiny embroidery lettering is difficult to read. Letters should not be smaller than 5/16” high.
What Thread Colors Can I Choose for My Design? With our vast thread color selection, we are able to customize your embroidery needs. For the most visible and attractive embroidery, we recommend that you use a thread color that best contrasts with the color of the garment to be embroidered on.
Can I Get An Actual Embroidery Proof? First we will send you a scanned image of the embroidery for your approval. If you still need an actual embroidery proof, at the single unit cost to you, we can stitch on a single pellon sheet. This is called a stitch out.
